The 2014 Joint Commission Standards and survey process continues to be impacted by the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid.  Strong consideration is being given to assigning “Immediate Threat” to the chronic Infection Control issues found on surveys.  The Joint Commission will be adding more tracer activity.  Repeat findings will continue to impact TJC survey outcomes.  Timelines for Environment of Care documentation has changed.  Find out how to address these important issues.
