Date:   6/19/2012Time:   1:15 PM EDT-2:45 PM EDTThis program will describe the concepts and attributes of becoming a strategic leader for supply chain excellence within your organization. This will include descriptions and actions that will inform the participants on building relationships, becoming a respected agent of change, and how to assume a leadership role within your organization. Several examples of how to apply these concepts within your organization will be explored, such as the management of physician preference items (PPI), and the control and assessment of new clinical technology such as medical devices or diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.

  • Examine supply chain leadership goals and expectations
  • Implement and apply leadership style and change agent processes
  • Identify a process to review and manage PPI products
  • Incorporate Technology Assessment program into organizational structure
Pat Klancer, MHA, CMRP, FCPHM, Senior Director, Supply Chain, Diagnostix
  As Senior Director, Klancer delivers Diagnostix Supply Chain expertise and Business Informatics to key Amerinet member organizations. Klancer provides leadership to the Diagnostix spend analysis team on developing and implementing programs to help members recognize and sustain significant supply chain savings. Klancer's leadership was a driving force in the development of the Amerinet Savings Roadmap and other market leading tools, which has delivered thousands of analytical reports with millions of dollars in identified savings to Amerinet customers.

Klancer brings more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare supply chain industry, working as a hospital based materials management director, and as a supply chain consultant. Her ability to communicate with clinicians, administrators, staff, and vendors enabled her to achieve win/win results in operations, systems implementation, supply chain excellence, and negotiated best pricing.

Klancer is a published author in Healthcare Purchasing News, Journal of Healthcare Materials Management and Hospital Materials Management Quarterly. She has also lectured for Amerinet's Inquisit Speakers' Bureau, AHRMM, HCMMS, HFMA and several other groups.

Educational credentials include a Master of Health Administration, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
