On Demand  CE  LEANing Diagnostic Services – The Basics That Everyone Should Know

Educational Grant From Chi Solutions
Imaging and laboratory services are constantly challenged to do more with less – less time, fewer people, and less money. How do you cope? One approach is to Lean the operation; this is a critical strategy that should be included in every diagnostic service's quality "tool kit." This presentation will introduce the basic Lean concepts and tools that can create rapid process improvement. A simple, organized, and systematic approach to Leaning an operation is shared that includes tools used in project definition, process measurement, process analysis, process improvement, and process control. Discussion of these tools will incorporate examples of how they can be applied. Simple templates for several key tools will be provided to the participants.
Learning Objectives:

On successful completion of this program, the participant should be able to:
  • Understand basic Lean concepts and tools
  • Explain a simple, organized and systematic approach to Leaning a process
  • Apply a few basic Lean tools to their own operations to drive process improvement
