On Demand  CE  Giving Constructive Criticism & Disciplining Effectively
Many managers/supervisors are reluctant to give feedback when it is not positive. Thus many employees continue to perform marginally without the proper counseling and direction to improve. In developing a high performance team, continual feedback and at times effective discipline needs to occur. This interactive, hands-on audio conference will prepare you with the knowledge, skills, courage, and confidence to give appropriate feedback to improve performance. You will learn how to interact effectively with performers across the performance continuum from high performers to marginal performers and adjust your style appropriately with each different situation and each different type of performer.
Learning Objectives:
  • Describe effective feedback in a wide range of settings along the performance continuum.
  • Explain how to vary your style to match the situation and the individual.
  • Discuss ways to discipline with courage, confidence, and conviction.
  • Demonstrate techniques for handling "difficult people when providing constructive criticism and/or discipline.
